Ready to stop feeling broken and discover emotional freedom?
Inner Window Counseling is the private therapy practice of Michelle Davis, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
You are longing for a life that isn’t just a daily battle between your mind and your heart. A life where you feel at peace and in control instead of heartbroken, discouraged, and overwhelmed. You’re ready for change; if only you knew how to create it from where you are today.
I believe in your ability to make these changes a reality.
Let me show you how.
I’m Michelle Davis and I help clients whose hearts have been torn open by grief learn to rediscover joy and connect to their loved one in celebration rather than in despair.
I help folx with adult ADHD create a sense of control out of chaos and achieve their unique greatness living within.
I work with clients who want to stop putting everyone else first until they feel so drained by life they aren’t sure who they are anymore, learn to value and love themselves.
I help all my clients find peace, confidence, and fulfillment by giving them practical tools that empower them to create change not just in therapy, but beyond it.
There are a lot of therapists out there. What makes me different?
Many therapists are good listeners, but offer little guidance on solutions. It’s incredibly frustrating to spend weeks or months in therapy without seeing results in your life. While I am not here to give you the answers, I will tell you how you can find them for yourself.
I work together with my clients to collaboratively create a plan for change, and give feedback on your progress throughout our time together. I know everyone finds this at their own pace and in their own way, so I tailor my suggestions to your individual needs and preferences. I believe when self-compassion meets clear direction, small steps will add up to a big impact.
Our sessions will give you not just a greater understanding of yourself, but greater confidence in your ability to heal. I want to see you achieve balance so that one day, you will be ready to end your therapy knowing you have everything you need to live a life you love.
In addition to my approach, I also come from a place of lived experience.
I myself have a diagnosis of ADHD and know too well how it can make you feel like a failure, even when you’re trying your best.
I too have had my world turned upside down by the anguish of grief, after losing my father at age fourteen, and three other close family members in the decade after.
Growing up, I wanted to fit in so much that I often changed my opinions and compromised my boundaries to suit those around me, until I realized that self-esteem wasn’t something anyone could give me or take away, but rather was part of my inherent worthiness as a human being.
Not only will you be working with someone who has the training and experience to guide you, you’ll also be working with someone who gets it. These things are a part of my story, but they don’t limit me from living authentically and you can discover that freedom, too.
